My little buddy Zeke sends draw requests from time to time. Always fan art requests of pop culture characters. It drives me crazy finding reference and drawing accurate. So much I asked him to only drawing things he imagines (hoping to deter the requests)
Not so much the case. He imagined some things. Two teams to be exact. I don’t know the story or origins. He refused to tell me incase I thought to steal his idea. Kidding, he just didn’t tell me. I know for sure he has already thought it out.
Anywho, here is 9 year old Zeke character concept of the Zen-X Disease
Here is my interpretation of the team
This is the other team called the Infection
This is my interpretation
It was pretty fun using the loose reference to illustrate.
Next week I’ll talk coasters, SKA, beer and bars!

Slurville Presents: A Friend Of Mitsy
This event takes place within the town of Slurville. The same town the Arch Agency appeared in. This is a 5 page preview to a story that I am building in script form. WIth the intent to write a feature film.
Right now the current plan is to create a full color motion comic of this content, then co-produce a short film from the feature script. I hope you dig this 5 page thing so far.
Dallas’s concerned businessman.
Happy to have Dallas stop by and draw up some free form doodles! His work tells stories. I dig it!

Chris Waterman’s Ski Space Girl
Had some left over cards from last month’s Scramble Jam Long Beach meeting. Met some of the gang at the Creepy Romance Release party this past Saturday. Chris Waterman did a couple inebriated sketches on some blanks as well as myself. Wondered into a coffee shop and did a few more today. Here’s the progress. We have planned a post Valentines’s day Meet up Wednesday Feb 15th at Dutch’s Brewhouse. The same place as last month. Made special Bootleg cards for it in celebration. If you are reading this, and are local, and are interested you are welcome to this public event. It’s just a meet up draw session, no fees or costs. I’m sure the venue would like you to purchase pizza and beers, but the choice is optional.
I will report progress by the end of the week.

New Alien Baby submissions based on my current skewed ideals. Just adding to the pot.
Dryspell from my current “Team Justice” Sketchbook
A shy goblin from my current sketchbook “Team Justice”
The last two are newly inked sketchbook entries. These two were penciled loosely a few months ago,. decided to ink them with ball point pen. Done in a sketch book titled Team Justice. Every sketchbook I use has a name. Some for reasons, some for no reason. I’ll go more into the sketchbook on another post.
This old soul will always be faithful to my heart. Even when my heart is empty.
Here is an illustration I contributed to Cosondra Sjostrom‘s poem book titled Creepy Romance. This illustration along with 49 other talented artists are in the recent installment of the series, book four. Not kidding on the talent. Some of the work in this book makes me feel intimidated. In a good way of course.
Creepy Romance IV
The recent book, along with the past two installments are on sale now via web (here). I’ll attending the book release event this Saturday in Los Angeles at Lock & Key The book will be on sale there as well.
Keeping the February spirit I’ve been working on a little comic in the vein on my Arch Agency series. I wanted to do some kind of love story my way. I plan to post up five pages here on V-Day.
Planning to make a few copies and hand them out to friends at this months Scramble Jam in Long Beach. It’s a day after on the 15th at Dutch’s Brewhouse. I’ll have a few there for the room as well.
Our sketch card will be a little more violent…
Scramble Jam blank cards
Thanks for reading as always.
Drew the Guyver for no reason other than I came across an old comic and thought it would be cool. Because the design is so detailed and specific there was not a lot of room to be too creative in style. I had fun learning the contours.
Also drew Spider-Woman in here early black 90’s costume because I think it’s the best design. Always feel compelled to do a little something on back, so Silk on a building was in order.
Last is a 90’s mullet Superman (get the theme?) I hate drawing superman. He is very difficult to draw because he is so simple yet specific. I’ve never been happy with any version I’ve done. This is the closest I’ve ever got.
I guess that’s it.
Some ink I did over Dan’s original pe
Dan’s Original pencils work on an old torn out page from a book
I can’t remember exactly when I met Dan to be honest. I think it was in 2007. I really dug his work and asked if he had a sketchbook I could purchase. He said he didn’t. I offered to make one for him. At the time I was steady making zines and sketchbooks of my own. He took me up on the offer. I gathered some images he had on line. Sent two copies out to him along with the file. I asked if he would signed one of the copies and send it out to me. He did and included the pencil sketch above.
It wasn’t until recently I had the nerve to try and ink it.
Dan has been real supportive with some of my creative ideas. Maniac Cop being one. That project is a little bit of a long story to go into right now though.
He has also helped with a horror project I shelved before I began my SHE project. The plan is to later bring it into SHE.
I really appreciate Dan’s help and encouragement. So much I thought to post it. To whom ever reads this, check out his work. It really is amazing!
Recently had to print out some art cards for the Scramble Jam here in Long Beach. There was some space left on the page so I added this guy on the pages I printed, cut them out and now I have about 25 of these with blank backs, so…
I’ve been drawing on them as warm ups before the comic pages and blank covers I obsess over. Listing for sale as I do them at my store (link here). My store is kinda sad with only 5 items, but for now this is how it be.
The side goal is to complete all 25-26 pages and print a small book zine to sell at shows (Which all be talking more about later).
Well, thanks for reading!
