All kinds of stuff going on. It’s a strict regiment to keep up with things. So far (knocking on wood) things appear to be holding to course. To avoid babbling, I’ll just talk about this.
It’s a one page comic called “A welcoming” colored by
İbrahim Aydın It’s a part of a project called Space Happy. A bunch of short SciFi related 1-6 page comics I wanted to create. They will all be collected in one book. When and what kind of book? Well, I’ll have to complete it before I go into all that.
In the mean time I’d like to just share the process.
Thanks for looking.
An Avid Bowl user.
Learning how to color. I know a a little. It’s mostly through self discovery and button pushing. I know there is an easier way to do things. Unfortunately my personality insists on learning the most difficult. I’m not really sure why, but I trust my self conscious has a philosophy. It always seems to.
Anyway, here is a bowl heads gone mad with technology. I used this guy (uncolored) for my handmade ink book called “Have A Neat Summer” I only printed 60 for a show I did. Still have a about 59 I’ll use to little the table of the next event I do.
Drawing monsters is cool and all, but I want to learn more and grow as a self proclaimed artist. This is my awkward attempt at drawing the people I see. You know people just being people. Unfortunately I seem to have difficulty focusing on the obvious. I often go on mind tangents and find myself morbidly daydreaming. It’s a little revealing sometimes, but whatever. The joy of self discovery right?
This chick with big boobs scratching her face
This minding his own biz while his glasses were slowly sliding off.
People falling asleep on the train while their souls where slipping away and creatures crawling from their skulls.
The Traveler’s A
I guess I’m in a little more of a Sci-Fi mood lately because I have the Galactic Film Fest on my mind. Aliens and quantum physics have been the choice of reading the past couple of months.
This comic short is about genetics….or whatever.
Bowl Head Vortex
The Bowl Heads are users of this tool I discovered. There is no name for it. To know it’s name is fully understand it’s purpose. Details about the bowl heads soon enough. Imagine electrolysis on the brain. Allowing it to expand and contract at a stable rate forcing synaptic currents to fire faster and stronger. Enlarging previously narrow neurological circuits. Accelerating activity.
Basically tripping out with your own mind (without conventional drug use).
This particular user found a tear in time space. A de-molecular tear. At least that is what her brain is understanding.
Doing some layouts/storyboards for a project. Went on a bit of a tangent sketching this out. This is not from anything as of yet, just thought it would be a cool scene to see. It’s sloppy, but eh. I can clean it up later if I dig it enough. I usually walk away from layouts for a couple of days then go back to see if I still like them or if they make any sense.
It’s Good To Be Home
These are some of the last sketches I have from the Las Vegas sketch book I have named Vegas Thought Process. There are a couple of drawings crafted by some friends I made there who happen to be dancers in this dance hall I came across. Did a few drawings there to see what my brain would do. I got to be honest…I thought my sketches would be more cool. The view was kinda distracting though. Here they are anyway:
A girl drawn while inside an exotic dance hall.
What the casino thinks of me
Tall buildings that stab you in the eye.
“She got that Louisiana purchase card” A quote from a terrible song that stuck in my head the whole trip.
Weird head on a stripe
Jim Dandy in spanish attire.
A hilariously honest drawing from an amazing dancer code named Eva
Isabel drew this wearing a bikini in the middle of broad night light!
This bowl head haunts me.
Vegas Bathroom Suit (real talk)
I seen this guy at the exotic dance hall. I drew him with tentacle legs.
A strange thought I drew.
A drawing I gave to a guy that cut the end of my cigar.
A thought I had too many beers deep at a casino bar.
