Ladies and gentle men I’m happy to finally announce project FOWL!
It is a story of vengeance and the quest to redemption…Well it’s also a horror story about a native american were-turkey named Squanto.
I will be releasing a panel a week for free on the Zar Star Studios website!
Beginning October 1st I will featuring the origin of this strange creature. With the help of Norman Wong coloring and Zen lettering I feel very confident this story will suit some entertainment value.
I’m very proud of this, but the artist in me knows and wants to do better.
The first issue print is scheduled to be available mid November. I haven’t put much thought into a kick starter. I’m kind of banking on my potential backers for the graphic novel. I feel if I can complete a four issue mini series I might be able to gain a momentum and trust with the (still fictitious) fans.
She That Kills The Dead: There is also a comic I’ve been hoarding away called She That Kills The Dead.
First issue is pretty much complete. This is something of a baby to me. In return I am being a baby about releasing it. I want to have the second issue complete before releasing the first to semi-insure I can keep keep up with the monthly/bimonthly series. It will be a 4-5 issue mini-series. I want to tie up a story arc with the mini before letting you guys in on the gritty world.
Once I am ready to announce the series launch I have a 5 page world intoduction I had a blast doing. I think it’s pretty cool. I hope you all feel the same once I can show it.
These are my two meaty time consumers.
A few other projects I’m working on are My Emo Vortex. This will be a 2 issue art book release in comic format. original ink interior. I’ve been using these to teach myself to color meantime.
Another project is something small. literally. It’s a comic strip about a ladybug. A lady bug named Doug. Don’t be fooled by the character choice. It is not for kids. It’s basically a daily rant about my perception of the society around me. Using insects. I draw these stupid 2 panelers in between heavier projects. They crack me up in during the wee hours of the night. They might be completely insane and indecipherable to others, but it’s my insect world. I am just letting you in on it.
I’m finishing up a 3 page comic short for my buddy Ken and Lazy Bones studios also. It’s keeping me entertain on Friday nights.
Last but not least I’m doing concept art for a film feature with Alrik Bursell based on his short film Strange Thing. The premise of the story is right up my crazy alley. I’ll have to fill you guys in a little more when I get the okay. Meanwhile here is just a little something I made based on the the short.
The website will also be going through some changes to better suit all this. Might even be able to unload some of this artwork in all these boxes.
If you read this far, you have no idea how grateful I am for it. I can only repay with honest hard work.
Thank you!
